Forensic results have
revealed that the two buzzards found dead near Chittlehampton, Devon were
poisoned. WCO Sgt Dave Knight told the North Devon Journal:
“The persecution of birds of
prey is one of the national wildlife crime priorities. Sadly, the persecution
of these birds still occurs and the manner of their poisoning is indiscriminate
with potential lethal consequences for companion animals.”
